香港演藝學院、香港浸會大學、 香港大學鋼琴導師

 

Piano Faculty at HK Academy for Performing Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University & University of Hong Kong

陳思佑於香港出生,七歲起開始學習鋼琴,十歲時考入香港演藝學院先後師從陳莉華和黃懿倫教授,並在2006年取得香港演藝學院一級榮譽學士學位。及後獲全額奬學金就讀美國印第安那音樂大學和美國芝加哥演藝學院,師從著名鋼琴家Andre Watts,榮譽教授Menahem Pressler 以及鋼琴教育家Solomon Mikowsky 取得了鋼琴演奏碩士學位和演奏家文憑,並在校內擔任鋼琴助教。陳氏多次獲奬,其中包括英國威爾斯靈閣嶺國際音樂節年度樂器演奏家獎、第十一屆香港亞洲鋼琴公開賽和第二屆亞洲青年音樂大賽,亦被頒發多項奬學金包括香港賽馬會獎學金和萬瑞庭音樂獎。他亦曾在美國,亞洲及歐洲多個地方演出,當中包括芝加哥斯坦威音樂廳、Rudolf Ganz音樂廳、香港大會堂音樂廳、巴黎沙龍音會系列以及香港演藝鋼琴精英音樂會。

陳氏現任教於香港演藝學院,香港浸會大學以及香港大學鋼琴系,他亦曾於美國印第安那大學、香港夏季音樂任教,以及在香港和中國多個城市擔任鋼琴比賽評判及舉行講座和大師班。作為香港其中一位最廣被認受和充滿熱忱的鋼琴教育者,他的學生多次在本地、內地和海外獲獎,亦多次考入著名的美國茱莉亞音樂學院和英國皇家音樂學院等學府。


Born in Hong Kong, Chan Sze Yau first studied with Amelia Chan and later with Eleanor Wong at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts obtained his Bachelor in Music with first class honour. He furthered his studies with Menahem Pressler and Andre Watts at Indiana University on full scholarship for his Master degree and received the Performer’s Diploma. He also worked with Ann Schein in Bloomington and Solomon Mikowsky in Chicago College of Performing Arts. Winners of numerous prizes and scholarships including the “Instrumentalist of the year” at the Llangollen Music Eisteddfod in Wales, the 11th Hong Kong Asia Piano Open Competition, the Second TOYAMA Asian Youth Music Competition, he had also been awarded the Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarship and the Bernard Van Zuiden Music Prize.
 
Mr. Chan has performed in various cities in North America, Europe and China and took part in concert series including the Rudolph Ganz Hall and Steinway Hall concert series in Chicago, Paris Salon Concert Series and the Academy's Best Pianists Fund-Raising concert at the Hong Kong City Hall. Recognized as one of the most sought-after and passionate educators, Mr. Chan is currently on the piano faculty at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts  the Hong Kong Baptist University and the University of Hong Kong department of music. His former and current students have been prize winners in piano competitions both local and abroad and been accepted in prestigious schools such as the Juilliard School in New York, the Royal Academy and the Royal college of Music in London. He has previously taught at Hong Kong Summer Music and was on the piano faculty of Indiana University undergraduate piano program. Mr. Chan regularly serves in the jury of piano competitions as well as giving masterclasses and lectures in Hong Kong and in various cities in China including Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hainan.
