Steinway Honorary Young Teacher, Adjunct Faculty at Macao Polytechnic University

青年鋼琴家潘澔彤身兼施坦威青年榮譽教師、澳門理工大學導師、澳門大灣區音樂藝術協會會長、博藝藝術教育中心音樂教學總監,過去曾於澳門演藝學院音樂學校任教及擔任澳門樂團客席樂師,亦於多間院校及比賽擔任評審、交流演出及分享會。

潘氏曾多次開辦個人獨奏會,演奏足跡遍及北美、亞洲等多個城市,亦於紐約管樂節、紐約國際鋼琴音樂節、紐約卡基內音樂廳首演系列、上海之春國際音樂節、香港《樂.心》系列、澳門國際音樂節、澳門樂團《樂慶35》系列、澳門通利琴行十五週年慶典慈善音樂會、澳門聲樂節、澳門管樂藝術節、澳門青交音樂節、澳門敲擊樂協會《一拍即合》系列等音樂會上演出。其演奏錄音於中央廣播電視總台、香港電台、澳門電台等知名媒體播放。

潘氏畢業於美國印第安納大學積可斯音樂學院,取得鋼琴演奏碩士學位。在學期間除獲澳門文化局、大學頒發獎學金外,同時於國內外比賽中表現出色,所得獎項包括:澳門文化局最具潛質獎、日本國際鋼琴比賽特別大獎、美國俄亥俄州音樂聯邦會鋼琴重奏比賽第一名、美國俄亥俄州音樂教師協會鋼琴比賽冠軍、美國萊特州立大學協奏曲比賽第一名等多個國際比賽大獎、獎學金得主。

 

Pianist May Poon has performed as a soloist and an ensemble musician in concerts throughout North America and Asia. She has appeared in festivals and concert series such as the New York Wind Band Festival, New York’s International Keyboard Institute and Festival, Hong Kong Musica dal Cuore Series, Macao International Music Festival, Caritas Macau Charity Concert, Macao Youth Symphony Orchestra Music Festival, Macao Band Fair and Macau Vocal Festival. Her live performance was broadcasted at China Central Radio-Television General Station, Radio Television Hong Kong and Radio Macau.

 

Being named the Steinway Honorary Young Teacher, Ms. Poon is also the adjunct faculty at the Macao Polytechnic University, President of the Macau Greater Bay Area Music & Art Association, Music Education Director of Dr. Art Education Center, guest musician of the Macao Orchestra. Moreover, she was invited as jury member in different competitions.

 

Ms. Poon holds Master of Music degree from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Her major mentors included Jean-Louis Haguenauer, Edmund Battersby, Dr. Jackson Leung and Dr. Kam Cheok Weng, with additional studies of collaborative piano and organ. She also played for Sergei Babayan, Alan Chow, Anne Epperson, Michael Oelbaum, Dmitry Rachmanov, Gustavo Romero, Jerome Rose and Joseph Swensen in masterclasses, among others. As a scholarship holder of Macao Cultural Affairs Bureau and universities, she was also the recipient of the Robert Stofer Music Award, Wanda Coalson Piano Award, Irene Romanowski Award, OFMC Agnes Fowler Scholarship, Three Arts Scholarship Fund Scholarship, First Place at the Ohio Music Teachers Association Piano Competition, First Prize of Wright State University Concerto Competition.
