吳玲玲是一位備受讚譽的鋼琴家、教育工作者及施坦威榮譽教師,長期活躍於香港的音樂界。她憑藉卓越的藝術才能及對音樂教育的無私奉獻,成為表演與教學領域的引領者。
她畢業於香港演藝學院,獲得音樂碩士(MMus)學位,專攻鋼琴表演、教學法及室內樂,師從著名的鋼琴教育家郭家特教授。她的論文《德布西的踏板技術》獲得印象派音樂權威學者羅伊·霍特的高度認可,展現了她對音樂細節的深入研究。此外,她還取得倫敦音樂三一學院的鋼琴演奏專業文憑及廣州星海音樂學院的鋼琴學士學位(師承李穗榮博士),為其表演與教學事業奠定了堅實的學術基礎。作為一位藝術家,吳玲玲曾舉辦多場備受讚譽的鋼琴獨奏及室內樂音樂會,深受觀眾與評論家的喜愛。她的演奏充滿藝術深度、技術精湛且情感豐沛。吳氐的音樂合作同樣令人矚目。她曾與笛子演奏家陳敬臻合作,在香港大會堂首演笛子協奏曲《愁空山》,並與香港管弦樂團首席小號演奏家合作錄音,展現其多才多藝的音樂造詣。
作為一位充滿熱情的教育者,吳氐啟發了無數學生,許多學生在世界各地的鋼琴比賽中脫穎而出。她對音樂教育的熱忱還體現在她作為本地慈善組織 Wewah 音樂家聯絡人的角色上,致力於推廣音樂教育,讓音樂惠及更多人群。
吳氏亦曾擔任國際鋼琴比賽的評委,包括: 第89屆施坦威國際兒童及青少年鋼琴比賽(香港區) 、 Kawai國際鋼琴比賽(香港區)、英國Purcell國際青少年鋼琴比賽(香港區)、萊茵古典國際鋼琴比賽(德國)、新加坡國際青少年鋼琴大賽(香港區)及香港聯校音樂協會賽事。
作為香港青年音樂家交流協會副會長,她積極推動青年音樂人才的培養及文化交流·。憑藉對表演與教育的熱忱,吳玲玲以其藝術造詣激勵學生與觀眾。她作為施坦威榮譽教師的角色,以及對音樂界的貢獻,為音樂社區帶來深遠影響。
Ellie Ng is a highly accomplished pianist, dedicated educator, and Steinway Honorary Teacher based in Hong Kong. Renowned for her exceptional artistry and impactful contributions to the music community, Ellie has established herself as a respected figure in both performance and pedagogy.
Ellie holds a Master of Music (MMus) degree from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, specializing in piano performance, pedagogy, and chamber music under the mentorship of Professor Gabriel Kwok. Her thesis, "Damper Pedaling in Debussy," received recognition from renowned scholar Roy Howat, highlighting her expertise in impressionistic music. In addition to her MMus, Ellie has earned a Licentiate from Trinity College London in piano performance and a Bachelor of Arts in Piano from the Xinghai Conservatory of Music in Guangzhou under Dr. Vivian Li. These prestigious academic credentials form the foundation of her distinguished career.
Ellie is a celebrated performer who has delivered numerous solo recitals and chamber music concerts, earning widespread acclaim from audiences and critics alike. Her performances are characterized by artistic depth, technical brilliance, and emotional resonance. Ellie's collaborative spirit is evident in her premieres and recordings. She debuted the flute concerto "Sorrowful Empty Mountain" with flautist Chan King Chun at the Hong Kong City Hall Concert Hall and has recorded music with the principal trumpet player of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, showcasing her versatility as a musician.
As an educator, Ellie inspires her students to achieve excellence. Many of her students have won top prizes in prestigious piano competitions worldwide. She is committed to nurturing young talent and advancing music education. Her work as a musician liaison for the local charity Wewah exemplifies her dedication to making music accessible to diverse communities.
Ellie is an esteemed adjudicator for international piano competitions, including: The 89th Steinway & Sons International Children & Youth Piano Competition (Hong Kong), Kawai Piano Competition (Hong Kong), Purcell International Competition for Young Pianists (Hong Kong), Singapore International Youth Piano Competition (Hong Kong), Rhein Klassik International Piano Competition (Germany) and Hong Kong Schools Music Festival.
She also serves as Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Youth Arts and Culture Association (HKYACA), contributing to the development of young musicians and fostering cultural exchange.
